Elena Kiseleva
is an outstanding Russian artist. She is a member of the
Federation of the Russian artists and Exlibrisist's Society in
St. Petersburg and in Germany. She took part in the
International project "Global Gallery" under the aegis of
UNESCO, in Burgenland, Austria. Prix of the Till Eulenspiegel
Federation, Belgium, 1997. There is a lot of fantasy in her
works. Unusual combination of subjects, objects and concepts
create a peculiar and unique world of images. The color of her
engravings ? sometimes festively bright and sometimes refined
and reserved ? is of great importance in the artist's creative
work. In her exlibrises E. Kiseleva expresses the inner world of
a reader through the author's personality. A series of works,
"The Golden Land" occupies a large part of the artist's creative
work. The idea behind the series can be characterised as a
'search for the Lost Paradise or the Promised Land', or 'dreams
of harmonious being' - you can find these This world can be
found everywhere and nowhere: this is why the works depict
familiar urban motives as well as architectural fantasies and
metamorphoses. The series combines architectural accuracy with a
breath of lyrical unreality in delicate transparent colors. Many
times E. Kiseleva took part in exhibitions in St. Petersburg,
Gatchina and Moscow. Some of her works were presented in art
galleries of South Korea, USA, Denmark, Finland, Czech Republic,
Slovakia, Austria, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy,
Portugal, Great Britain and now they have been kept in art
galleries, private collections and museums. |
